Charleston boat tours

You can send a request for a captained tour or a private charter from this page.

You ask for a captain aboard on Charleston Harbor, the Wando or Cooper, Shem Creek, or a nearby barrier island.

You answer two yes-or-no questions, then you leave a phone number and an email.

Charleston Boat Tours receives the request and replies by email.

Send a request

Do you want a captained boat tour or private charter, with a captain on board?
Does all of this describe your trip: a captain is aboard, the water is Charleston Harbor, the Wando or Cooper, Shem Creek, or a nearby barrier island in coastal South Carolina, and it is not a bareboat rental, jet ski, freight run, offshore fishing trip past state waters, or water taxi, and it is not in North Carolina, Georgia, Savannah, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, or Georgetown?

Charleston Boat Tours receives this request at requests@charlestonboattours.xyz and replies by email. The privacy page says how that request is kept. Privacy

Sending this request does not mean a company will call you.

What you can ask for here

The trip is a captained boat tour or private charter. A bareboat rental, a jet ski, a freight run, offshore fishing past state waters, and a water taxi are a different job, and the form stops those.

The waterways with a sourced page are listed on Counties. A town that is only a suburb does not get its own page.

A city public dock

If the boat would pick you up from a City of Charleston public dock, the ordinance makes one exception and then bars a commercial embarkation.

With the exception of the facilities located at and managed by the Charleston Maritime Center: No person shall be permitted to land from their boats, to embark on a commercial fishing or any other commercial expedition, or to load their boats with fishing utensils or any other articles from a public dock.

City of Charleston Code of Ordinances, § 22-8

The rest of that section, including how long a boat may stay, is on the Charleston Harbor boat tour page.
